Although the Pro Series officially ended in Stilbaai, the Four Cousins Hot Summer of Touch moved further up the coast ending in Hartenbos after a succesful leg in Mossel Bay at the Diaz Beach Resort.

The competition was tough at both events with the Two a Transport Warriors and Reds coming to both the final 2 events. This coupled with a host of strong local teams provided a brilliant platform for some great touch action.

After a tough day at Diaz, the final was contested by the Legends and TAT Warriors and true to form on the series thus far, both teams gutzed it out ending level after full time. What then transpired was a remarkable Sudden Death period which lasted 18 minutes of 3 v 3. The soft sand, angled playing surface and 16 sets of tired legs meant neither side could make a breakthrough and with the tide fast approaching, the Legends finaly broke the deadlock to take what would then be there 4th Title of the year. The final score was 2 – 1.

The highlight of the Diaz event is always the Winners v The Rob Louw invitational and this year was no different with the Legends taking on the likes of Rob Louw, Vlok Celliers, Joe Pietersen and new Flyhalf sensation Jean Goosen, eventually coming out comfortable 2 – 0 winners.

Hartenbos proved to be the best attended event of the series with 56 teams turning up to take their chances on the grass of the ATKV amphitheatre.

The final was once again contested between the Legends and the Two a Transport Warriors. After an extremely tight game and in litterally the final move of the game the Legends took the crown.

The day was a great success with a huge crowd being kept entertained by resident HSOT MC and surf Guru Deon Bing as well as his Afrikaans counterpart Paul Jordaan.

The Series overall was a great success with perfect weather at pretty much all the beaches…Thank you to all the players and supporters. Dates and venues for 2012 will be anounced in due course!
