Its a Two Horse Race…

Thursday the 23rd of December saw 37 teams converge on the little town of Struisbaai, 5 km from the Southern most tip of Africa…

The Weather matched the action for once and with great conditions, the people of Struis Baai were treated to the best Touch Rugby in the Country.

The Maynardts Touchies club once again showed its class and depth by not only winning the Pro Series but also the Open tournament. They defeated the Touch Formers second team in the Open tournament Final and then took on the impressive Amazing Galaxy Warriors in the Pro Series Final. They outclassed their gallant opponents 2-1 .

Whilst the series looks to be a two Horse Race with the Amazing Galaxy Warriors on 23 Points and the Maynardt Touchies on 22 points, the next 3 teams on the log have an outside mathematical chance to still sneak in the back door, although it would literally take a miracle at this stage to keep the top two from earning any game day points in the final round.

The 2010 champion will be decided on Monday the 27th in Stilbaai…
