Living Legends Are The Champions!

On a day which looked like heavy rains and howling winds would be the order of the day, the only thunderstorms came from the Living Legends.

The Strand outfit dominated proceedings from start to finish with a commanding display of speed and skill which ultimately won them the sought after title of Stilbaai Champions as well as the overall Four Cousins Hot Summer of Touch Champions.

The former “Maynardt Touchies” were overall the most consistent team reaching 4 of the 5 finals this season. They were made to work very hard for their win with an exciting semi final “Sudden Death” win over the chasing Two a Transport Warriors who could actually have tied the series had they have beaten the Legends in the Semi Final and gone on to win the Final.

Conditions for Touch were perfect after heavy rains the previous 24 hours and after a slow start in the morning, the traditional big Stilbaai Crowds made it through for a great day!

An exciting highlight of the day was the Quali Dwergie Legends who produced an age defying display of skill and experience to beat the Tribal Kingz in the final of the Open Series 3-2. The Plate was won by the Warriors who beat the other guys by 4-3.

The action now moves to Diaz Beach in Mossel Bay on Wednesday
