The Annual Festival takes place from the 1st to the 3rd of March 2013. The Touch happens on Friday afternoon for Schools and Friday night for Corporate and Open.

HSOT 2012 Ends on a Good Note

The 2012 Hot Summer of Touch came to a close on Sunday 30th December at the beautiful Diaz Beach in Mossel Bay.

The last 2 events of the series were held in picturesque Mossel Bay and they didnt disappoint.

50 Teams turned up at Hartenbos on the 28th on a very hot day and the crowds were entertained to some great action on the fields. The Score Energy Warriors were declared the winners of the Open Tournament, while the Vikings won the Under 16 section.

The Diaz Beach tournament was won by the Four Cousins Living Legends, while the plate was won by Team Super 8.

Score Energy Warriors Come Good at Stilbaai

The Crowds returned and the weather stayed good for the 34th edition of Stilbaai Touchies. 49 teams registered for the tournament and the action was once again rivoting from the start…

The Amazing Galaxy Warriors required 4 points to seal the series and when the Score Energy Warriors knocked them out of the tournament in the Quarter Finals, their dream was in tatters.

The door was open for the Four Cousins Living Legends and if they could win the final at Stilbaai, they could take the series from under the Warriors nose.

It was not to be however, as the Score Energy Warriors were determined to take Stilbaai after a disapointing series to this point and this determination came through with them beating the Legends in the Semi Final thus crowning the Amazing Galaxy Warriors as Grand Prix winners for the second time in 3 years.

The final was a great game with the Score Energy Warriors coming up against the surprise package of the series, the Quali Dwergies. The Dwergies have been consistant all series and they got their reward of a final in Stilbaai. It was unfortunately not to be their day and they were narrowly beaten by the Warriors 2-1.

The Open Tournament was won by the Four Cousins Living Legends 2.

The action moves to Hartenbos on Friday
